Ist Dir schon einmal aufgefallen, dass viele Hunde nicht ganz gerade „in der Spur“ laufen? Der Grund dafür kann die natürliche Schiefe sein. Um dieses Phänomen zu erklären, muss ich etwas weiter ausholen.
Beginnen wir bei der Gegenseitigkeit des Gehirns (auf schlau: „Kontralateralität“):
Wenn ein Hund etwas sieht oder spürt, so überkreuzen sich viele Nervenbahnen, über die diese Informationen transportiert werden, auf ihrem Weg zum Gehirn. So kommt es, dass die rechte Hirnseite überwiegend Informationen von der linken Körperseite erhält und umgekehrt. In den beiden Hirnhälften werden die ankommenden Impulse vom unbewussten Nervensystem unterschiedlich verarbeitet:
Die linke Gehirnhälfte spielt eine größere Rolle bei der Verarbeitung von vertrauten Hundelauten und menschlich gesprochenen Kommandos.
Die rechte Gehirnhälfte ist bei der räumlichen Wahrnehmung und dem Erkennen von Gefahr aktiv.
Die Gegenseitigkeit zeigt sich sogar im Schwanzwedeln: sieht ein Hund etwas Erfreuliches, wedelt er mehr nach rechts, sieht er etwas Bedrohliches, so bewegt sich die Rute mehr nach links – jeweils entgegengesetzt zur aktivierten Gehirnhälfte.
Wie beim Menschen gibt es auch beim Hund eine Händigkeit. Bei rechtspfotigen Hunden ist durch die Nervenbahnüberkreuzung die linke Hirnhälfte aktiver und umgekehrt.
Dies kann sich auch auf das Verhalten und die emotionale Stabilität auswirken: Linkspfotige Hunde zeigen mehr Angstreaktionen, höhere Stresslevel und Reaktionsfreudigkeit. Rechtspfotige Tiere untersuchen neugieriger unbekannte Objekte und zeigen mehr Sozialverhalten beim Jagen von Beute. So kann vorsichtig von der Händigkeit auf die Persönlichkeit des Tieres geschlossen werden. Rechtspfotige Hunde absolvieren z.B. erfolgreicher die Ausbildung zum Blindenführhund. Die Händigkeit beeinflusst sogar das Immunsystem durch eine ungleiche Stimulation der Abwehrzellen.
Und jetzt zurück zur natürlichen Schiefe:
Diese wird durch die Händigkeit bedingt. Je nach Ausprägung des Stärkerseins einer Seite kann man beobachten, dass die Hinterpfoten nicht in die Spuren der Vorpfoten, sondern seitlich rechts oder links davon treten. Als Folge davon wird die Muskulatur noch ungleichmäßiger ausgebildet und einige Strukturen werden mehr belastet werden als andere. Dies kann zu degenerativen Erkrankungen und Verletzungen des Stütz- und Halteapparates führen, aber auch im Sport die Performance beeinträchtigen.
Caniskinetic kann dabei helfen, die natürliche Schiefe auszugleichen, den Körper geradezurichten und in Balance zu bringen. Auch die Vernetzung der Gehirnhälften wird verbessert.
